Some Abuja residents have associated the low preparation for Christmas to the alleged crash of MMM.
December 25 every year is set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The build-up to this day is characterised by exchange of gifts and food items. This makes Yuletide period, the most anticipated time of the year for traders and gift vendors.
This case is, however, different this year as traders and vendors lament poor sales in the various markets visited by Pulse correspondent in Abuja.
The first thing that came to mind as the reason for the poor human traffic was the current economic recession and the Dollar/Naira rates. But investigations reveal that the freezing of accounts of participants of Ponzi scheme, MMM Nigeria contributed a great deal to the occurence.
"This Christmas season is the worst. It has never been this bad," said Kelechi Uzor, a rice vendor at Kubwa market.
"Look at my shop, full of rice and people are just passing because there is no money and things are very expensive. Some of my customers are saying their money is in MMM. We need prayers in this country," he added.
For others who were seen buying food stuff, the law of opportunity cost came in handy as they had to forgo some alternatives for other.
Mrs Adaora John-Obi, a civil servant said her family had to choose between eating good meals on Christmas day, having clothes with little or nothing to eat.
"A bag of rice is over N20,000, before I buy chicken and other things, I will end up spending close to N50,000. I have five boys who are in school," Mrs John-Obi said.
"So, I asked them if they prefer to spend the Christmas with new clothes, lots to eat and drink then remain at home or they want food and then return back to school in January. They said they wanted school, so I came to get a few things," she added.
Against the warning to invest their "spare money," an MMM participant, Udechi Evaristus blamed the supposed crash of the ponzi scheme for the poor Christmas preparation in Abuja.
"You see this thing that MMM did, that is why people are not preparing for Christmas," Evaristus said at Wuse market.
"Even though they said we should invest our spare money, my friends and I risked almost all we had; and I am sure most Nigerians did the same thing because of the interest.
"If most people did not provide help before the account freezing, this market will be bubbling. Well, we pray that they will fix it (MMM) in January before there will no space in most mortuaries in Nigeria," he noted.
Other residents who spoke to Pulse however expressed optimism that the country would experience better days in 2017.

How is POP of benefit to anybody? ReplyDeleteI want all faithful GF to know that we are the architect of this rematching issues. How, when you have 100 comments on a post, 99 are purely negative, how do you expect others joining the family to continue after reading them.
I have once written to support on my page and after few days of patient I was attended to. I knew I have to wait because these quys have thousands of people to attend to. LIKE THE BANK "FIRST COME FIRST SERVE" but some of us need urgent response to the problem we just tabled, thereby making it look like these guys are incompetent.

I recently GH 37,000 and I was matched on December 21, 2016 with 2 people to pay me 14,000; 2 people to pay me 13,000; and 2 people to pay me 10,000. Out of these 6 persons, only 1 of them paid me (10,000) while another uploaded fake POP. To my surprise, I have not been rematched with new people. I am not amazed with how people are still spreading the forum benefits, I only expect everyone to ask why/how it has come to this stage and the solutions to it. My mails and tickets has not been responded to as well

Why are the majority of those posting comments here concerned about making people use their referral link beacuse of bonus, when some people are having issues? You keep pretending as if all is well when Givers Forum support managers can't be reached and no rematched is being effected in cases of failure to pay within stipulated time. It is a simple policy, it is participants coming in to PH that are matched to the participants who request to GH; and gradually, the whole problem will be resolved.
NO MATTER THE QUEUE IN THE BANKING HALLS AND OTHER PROBLEMS, THE BANK IS STILL ADVERTISING FOR MORE CUSTOMERS- IT IS ALL ABOUT CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT.

Even me, I have been patiently waiting to be re-matched, since on the 21/12/ 2016,the transaction failed.Matching is faster now but re-matching has been on hold for sometimes now. They will come to issues of re-matching. So, we need patience and wisdom in approach; complains and agitation only scare away intending members,deter members' willingness to PH which in turn bring about failure and delay in matching.
We only plead with admin to improve on the support system, get more hands to hasten feedback response and communication to address participants' concerns and give intelligent explanation.

I requested help of 131000,d person that I was matched with uploaded fake pop it is going to 5 days now, still waiting to be rematch, I hope my money won't get lost please admin help me.
