Julianna was a 27-year-old graduate from the University of Jos. She was fondly called Anna by her close friends and family. Anna worked at a Bank not so far from her home and thus she was the sole bread winner of her family. Her father was late and her mother operated a small petty shop which didn't fetch so much profit.

One fateful day,Anna got back from work earlier than usual,looking very sad and frustrated. She met her mother sitting outside her shop roasting some corn. She did  this everyday to augment the small profit she got from her petty shop. The following conversation ensued between them:



MOM:  Anna,my dear,You're back early. How was work?

ANNA: Mama,I don't know oo. Remember that issue at our bank na,the one about them wanting to sack some of us.

MOM:  My God will not allow it! God Forbid! Over my dead body!
ANNA: Mama relax now! I have not even landed. Nawa for African parents oo
MOM:  Okay,my dear. I remember now. What happened?
ANNA: Okay. I was sacked today. They said they don't have enough money to pay all of us. So now I'm jobless.

Her mom fainted immediately and it took many attempts to resuscitate her but to no avail. She woke up the next day,thinking it was all a bad dream. She didn't even think about going to open up her shop for business. It seemed all hopeless. Their rent was due,people were barely buying things from the shop,Anna was jobless,no hopes of income and companies both small and large were not recruiting.

Anna began to think of this new phase in her life. She was jobless now meaning that she and her mother were going to experience what it felt like to have nothing. She hadn't learnt any useful skill while she was still in school. Next thing she knew,her friends were pressurizing her to go into different illicit businesses. One of her friends,Joke,was always on her neck about joining her in her kind of business. Joke was a known prostitute.

JOKE: Babe,i don tell you before.Body no be firewood.You need bar to pimp yourself. And this recession period,nobody go dash you anything oo.
ANNA: I get some savings and some business plan but the money no go do.
JOKE: So na to dey wear skirt and tie like civilized ape u want abi? Na that one go give you the money? Shebi them don kick your pot. Hustle on your own. Make we enter streets,na still the rich men go pay for your body.

Anna did not buy the idea but she had no other plan. Not until she ran into an old colleague,Rita. Rita seemed to be doing pretty fine on her own with her personal business. She saw how Anna was unlike her usual self.     Please a final remedy should be done on this site, many people are living the community because of no access to it. I tried logging in to upload my evidence of payment I couldnt but the money has been paid already. Something should be done permanently to avoid problems of logging in.
