PSG Stun Barcelona 4-0 In Champions League Clash
Paris St-Germain (PSG) shocked Barcelona in a tough match of the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
Angel Di Maria set the League One side in the lead with a stunning free-kick, just before Julian Draxler added a second in the 40th minute of the game.
The first half ended with the hosts dominating the match.
The strong attacking force of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar failed to give visiting Barcelona any hope of victory on Tuesday night.
Instead, Di Maria curled an effort into the top corner of their visitors’ goal-post while Edinson Cavani sealed the win with a powerful fourth.
The defeat leaves Luis Enrique’s side with huge task to remain in the champions league when they host PSG in the return leg on March 8.
Pakistani court issues nationwide ban on Valentine's Day
The Islamabad High Court in Pakistan's capital issued an order Monday that banned the celebration of Valentine's Day across the country 'with immediate effect.'
The order prohibits the display of adverts on electronic and print media that reference Valentine's Day, bans the sale of associated merchandise and states that the day cannot be celebrated in "any public space or government building."
The court has requested Pakistan's Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to monitor these platforms and share any information that shows that the ban has been compromised.
The court's order came after a petition was submitted by a citizen called Abdul Waheed -- who claimed that ongoing promotions of Valentine's Day were "against the teachings of Islam and should be banned immediately."
In Pakistan, Valentine's Day is seen by some as amoral and an appropriation of Western culture.
Resistance against it is not completely unusual. Religious groups like the Islamic political party jamat e Islami have often protested against marking Valentine's Day in the country and hold rallies annually against the celebration on February 14.
In 2016, the local government in the city of Peshawar in the country's northern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhua also banned celebrations.
The country's president Mamnoon Hussain, made a statement in February 2016, asking Pakistan's not to celebrate the day since it was "not a part of Muslim tradition, but of the West."
The Islamabad High Court's decision has also divided social media users, with some tweeting for the ban and others vehemently against it.

Coach Rohr To Call New Faces For Int’l Friendlies

The Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, hopes to use next month’s international friendlies to test some new players.
The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) is lining up Grade A friendlies, as the former African champions begin preparations for the African Cup of Nation (AFCON) 2019 qualifier, at home against South Africa as well as World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon in August.
Nigeria has already agreed a friendly against Senegal on March 23 in London, while the country is discussing with Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana and Morocco for another test game.
There are strong indications that Tyronne Ebuehi, who plays for Dutch League side and Ado Den Haag will get another call up for the game.
In 2016, Ebuehi turned down the Super Eagles call-up, but Rohr has now received assurances that the player will honour the next invitation by Nigeria.
Real Madrid Agree €500m deal
According to Spanish News outlet, El Confidencial, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez agreed the deal with the US company after finding out that Manchester United and Barcelona topple the club in the recently released Deloitte Money League report as highest revenue earning clubs in 2016.

A 43-year-old married woman has been caught sleeping with a hunter in a bush, in Asaba Delta state.
It was gathered that Dumebi had always compared her husband to the hunter. Dumbei would always joke that her husband is a lazy man unlike the hunter who kills animals almost everyday.
A member of Ugholu vigilante operatives, Sunday Igbokwe, who caught the two in the act said they entered the forest after the hunter’s wife went to the market.
Ugbolu community elders banished the hunter who admitted to sleeping with the married woman. According to elder, Chief Joseph Agbereh, the hunter was banished for allegedly sleeping with Dumebi in the bush, adding that it was a taboo to commit such an act in the community.
Dumebi’s husband who was disappointed with is wife's behaviour said he has asked her to leave his house. He said “I have sent the woman away with her shameless act and I set her property ablaze for the taboo she will never return to my house again in life.”

Cameroon Crowned Champions Of Africa!
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have emerged champions of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after beating Egypt 2-1 in the final played on Sunday night.
Goals from Nicolas N’Koulou and Vincent Aboubakar sealed a remarkable comeback victory for Cameroon after Mohamed El Nenny put Egypt ahead in the 22nd minute.
Cameroon have now won the Africa Cup of Nations for a fifth time and it is the first Africa Cup of Nations final in which both teams have scored since 2004.
The Pharaohs have not conceded two goals in any match since November 19, 2014 and have been unbeaten for 13 years.
It is also the first time Egypt have been defeated in the final since 1952 and Cameroon now become the second most successful side in the tournament’s history.
The Indomitable Lions defeated the Black Stars of Ghana 2-0 while Egypt defeated third place winners, Burkina Faso to reach the final of the competition.
Nigeria Police Force advise 2face Idibia, others to shelve the February 6th protest
The Nigeria Police Force have released a statement advising 2face Idibia and others to shelve the February 6th protest.
According to the police, they got information that another group is planning to hold a pro-government protest in the same venue as 2face's group and this may lead to break down of law and order.
The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to publications in the media on the planned protests slated for 5th and 6th February, 2017 in Lagos and other States by different groups, one to be led by the popular musician INNOCENT IDIBIA aka TUFACE and other opposing groups.
2. Nigeria Police Force is deeply concerned with the security implications with regard to the planned protest/demonstrations, and as the lead security Agency in the country, is fully aware and recognizes the constitutional rights of every citizen (including Tuface and his group) to assemble and move freely in any part of the country.
3. In this regard, the Force is also cognizant of its constitutional responsibilities of taking any proactive/ preventive security measures:-
i. In the interest of public safety, public order, public morality or public health.
ii. For the purposes of protecting lives and property, as well as the constitutional rights and freedom of other citizens.
4. The Nigeria Police Force is currently in possession of credible intelligence reports that other interest groups are equally planning to hold a counter protest/matches on the same days at the same places/cities as the Tuface Group. If these various planned protests/ demonstrations are held as scheduled, that there may be breakdown of law and order, with attendant loss of lives and property.
5. To this end, the Nigeria Police Force deems it imperative to issue this press release:-
i. That Innocent Idibia (a.k.a Tuface) and his group are hereby advised strongly to shelve their planned peaceful protest/demonstration in the interest of peace and security.
ii. That the other opposing groups are equally advised strongly to shelve its planned counter protest/demonstration in the interest of peace and security.
iii. That the Nigeria Police Force is prepared to employ every possible legal means for the maintenance of law and order; and for the protection of lives and property.
6. Consequently, members of the public, parents and guardians, religious/opinion leaders and other interest groups are strongly advised to prevail on their children and wards, followers and adherents not to allow themselves to be used by any group to cause disturbance of public peace and break down of law and order.
Self-driving boats to be unleashed in Amsterdam
As self-driving cars begin to appear on public highways, the first autonomous boats are heading for the waterways of Amsterdam.
The "Roboat" is expected to make its maiden voyage in 2017, the product of a $27 million collaboration between the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions (AMS).
The cutting-edge crafts will offer a range of urban solutions from public transport to pollution sensing and water-based venues.
If trials are successful, a fleet of Roboats will soon be operating in the Dutch capital, and around the world.
Multi-function
The autonomous boats will provide an alternative, eco-friendly transport option.
"In Amsterdam, the existing infrastructure of roads and bridges is extremely busy," says Dr. Stephan van Dijk, research program manager at AMS. "We will try to shift the transport of goods and people to the waterways to get people out of their cars and reduce traffic in the city."
The boats are designed to be light and easy to maneuver, says van Dijk, so that they can quickly and easily reach all points of Amsterdam's extensive canal network, which made the city the obvious location for the project.
The design also allows boats to be connected together to form floating bridges and platforms, that could be used for purposes from disaster relief to open air concerts.
Roboats will be fitted with a battery of sensors to deliver sophisticated data on water and air quality, as well as information on pollution -- including the numerous bicycles that fall in the city's canals each year.
"Air quality measures usually come from a few places in a city that do not tell you much about human exposure," says Professor Carlo Ratti, Director of the MIT Senseable City Lab. "The next level is to monitor in a ubiquitous way with a lot of fine-grained measurement...which we can do with this platform."
The team hope this data could inform policy to improve air and water quality in Amsterdam, and eventually in countries such as India where dirty water is a deadly threat.
Future fleet
The field of self-driving boats is likely to expand in the coming years, with several companies developing new designs.
Rolls Royce has announced plans for an autonomous cargo vessel, although this has faced opposition from the shipping industry over safety and piracy concerns.
But the relatively calm waters of Amsterdam could offer the ideal proving ground for autonomous vessels, says Ajit Jaokar, who teaches "Data Science for the Internet of Things" at the University of Oxford.
"I do not see the same (safety) issues here," he says. "As with all AI applications, Roboat will get better as it navigates more waterways. Once a model is developed, it could train other boats."
Professor Ratti says the project has received interest from cities around the world, eager to apply the technology.
He also believes the system could be used with many other types of vessels to reduce fatal accidents at sea.
If the Amsterdam project is successful, the history of autonomous vehicles could receive a significant update.
